We left the small village of Livigno just 2mls ago and drive up the valley on the south side. Livigno is located right next to us on the left hand side, in the valley below.

We have passed the first hills and are looking east across the valley to the summit of the Passo di Foscagno. However, the pass road leads once again a bit down hill, through small mountain villages with lots of pedestrian traffic.

A bit further down on the pass road towards Passo di Foscagno, again looking east to the pass summit, which can be seen a bit better now.

Nearly the same position as the picture taken above, but this time four years later and with a digital camera, a Nikon D70.

We are in the Valdidentro county, on the east side of the Passo di Foscagno and will shortly reach Bormio, the junction between the Stelvio Pass and Gavia Pass.

This picture was taken already on the Stelvio Pass road, directly after the junction of the Foscagno pass and Bormio. We look back to the Passo di Foscagn, located at the end of the visible valley end.
