Norther border ist the southern end of the Nufenen pass and the Saint Gotthard pass in the village Airolo. Eastern bounded by the lake Lago die Como and the southern end of the Maloja pass and the Spluegen pass in Chiavenna. Southern border of the region is formed by the town Varese. In the West by the Monte Rosa mountain area. Does include great travel tracks like the Centovalli valley, Valle Anzasca valley up to Macugnaga jus in front of the mighty Monte Rosa mountain and lots of hidden small valleys like the Valle Maggia valley.
