The Lech Valley Alps Tour

Total tour distance: 237km / 147mls
travel time incuding breaks: 7hrs 45min., incl. lunch in Pfafflar at the Hahntennjoch pass
We start in Bregenzerwald and follow
from the village Egg the Bregenzer Ach river upwards on the L200 road to Schroecken and drive across the Hochtannberg pass (1.676m/5,499ft.). In Warth we follow the road straight down into the Lech river valley on the B198 road until we reach the exit to the Hahntennjoch pass road approx. 1 mile before we reach the village Elmen. We take a right onto the Hahntennjoch pass road (1.884m/6,181ft.). Just before we reach the summit, in a small village named Pfafflar, there is on the left hand side a well known motorbiker’s Inn and meeting point. We take a lunch break in the beergarden. We follow the road through the villages Imst, Landeck and across the Arlbergpass (1.793m/5,883ft.). Between the town Landeck and St.Anton at Arlberg we highly recommend to always follow the signs “Arlbergpass Panoramastrasse”, otherwise you end up on the toll highway. When you have passed the summit of the Arlberg pass, you need to take a right after 2 miles onto the Flexenpass road (1.773m/5,817ft.) passing the villages Lech and Warth back to the Bregenzerwald. The tour is planned with a break all 30min and can therefore be easily done as a one day tour.
