Klosters train drive on

Coming up from Klosters you reach the loading dock on the north side of the Vereina Alp train car roll on transit. Here you ride with the cars on the "open" wagon. Of course, the wagons do have a roof and have on the side walls with openings.
Therefore you should ensure that you stop on a wagon platform and not on the coupling transition, otherwise it will be very windy during the ride through the tunnel.

In the Vereina train transit tunnel

Here we are just in the middle of the tunnel. The only place where the train stops to wait for the train that comes from the other side of the tunnel. This brief moment is enough to take a quick snapshot of the scenery, not thinking about the pile of rock that is above us. Since the train runs with over 100km/h through the tunnel, picture taking is very thrilling.
Since we are middle in the mountain, the GPS coordinates are from the  tunnel entrance, because there is no GPS reception possible during transit.

Exit South in Lavin

Exit on the south side to the Inn valley shortly before we reach Lavin train station. Here the whole convoy is then rolling off again on the road and the 19 minutes tunnel adventure is history. We use this fast and exciting transfer always from Lake of Constance and the Rhine valley over to South Tyrol. Measured time trying to smoke a cigarette in the tunnel at full train speed under the helmet less than 1min. Well, then you should quit smoking.

train roll on in Lavin

This is a picture taken during the return journey in September after the Fluelapass was snowed unexpectedly overnight. The vehicles are waiting here on the south side of the tunnel in the Inn Valley at Lavin to be loaded onto the train. For motorbike riders a short procedure to check in. Just roll in 1st gear in front of the cashier, then kill the engine with the help of the kill switch, take off your gloves, pay the ticket, take time to stow everything away again, never hurry, switch the kill switch to ON and start engine. Then you will ensure that your cash wont fall down and roll over the whole street.
