view towards the Cima della Vezzana

No, we were not so crazy to ride the Passo di Rolle in winter time. That picture was taken in the first week of Septmber when we had snow overnight down to 1.500m. The roads were dry and we had +15°C. We are on the pass summit of the Passo di Rolle and look over to the Cime di Vezzana (3.186m) towards east.

Passo Rolle summit

Same location but one year later in the last week of August 2003. 24°C on the summit, 0°C line up at 3.700m. In 5 minutes we had a sun burnon our nose. We look rowards east. The picture was taken just 1.000ft down the road where the previous one was taken.
