ELV digital gear display
|
|
Based on our article, which we have
published already in 2000, many people in the market have taken the first idea and tried to build kits, sets or similar projects to supply a useful solution to us motorbikers. ELV, an electronic company and distributor of special small series electronic ideas offers a complete kit in SMD technology, that does require just a little bit of soldering work on your workbench. The unit is completey pre-assembled in SMD technology and fits into the same housing as the LED display is installed.

The only things you need to install is
the LED display, which by the way has an automated light intensity control built in, the cable itself, one capacitor and that’s it. You may choose for the gear sensor information either switches, hall
sensors etc. The description that goes with the kit is in German language only. Just scan it with OCR sofware and have google translated it. It’s really easy.

The kit can be ordered with the ELV order no.
68-475-87. The price excluding shipment is 11,95 Euro. You need to add shipment and the cost for the switches or sensors. We recommend to use the hall sensor solution from Wolfgang Vehlow for gear
up and down information.
